Cathedral Choral Society

The Cathedral Choral Society presents masterworks of choral-orchestral repertoire in the majestic glow of Washington National Cathedral.

Led by Music Director Steven Fox, CCS is the oldest symphonic choral group in Washington, DC and one of the most prominent choruses in the United States. The Cathedral Choral Society has presented numerous world premieres, many of them commissioned by the chorus, and has maintained a tradition of showcasing emerging artists and internationally renowned soloists.

The Cathedral Choral Society's 2019-2020 season includes the popular Joy of Christmas program, a concert in March featuring major new works by three women composers, and Gioachino Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in May.

In addition to its concert series at the Cathedral, the chorus performs across the region and on nationwide radio and television. The Cathedral Choral Society's discography features ten recordings made at Washington National Cathedral.
